Payne Bay, Quebec - Fly Fishing Champions
Three of Canada's most experienced
fly fishermen show their skill on these Arctic Char infested waters. Custom fly tying, a look inside the tackle
box, expert conversation, incredible fishing plus a mass Caribou migration make this a must see for

Char Guy Donald Thom is the
first Canadian ever with a podium finish at the World Fly Fishing
Championship, winning the 2009 Silver
Medal in Scotland. Also on the trip is Randy Taylor, President of
Fly Fishing Canada, a member of the Canadian Fly Fishing Team and an
expert
flytyer. Rounding out the guest list is
another member of the Canadian team, John Beaven of
Parksville,
B.C., and our friend and previous guest Michel Leblanc, Skip Witt and our host at camp - Steve Ashton, of Arctic Adventures. What an adventure!

Nunavik
Quebec Co-Ed Caribou Hunt
Quebec
Labrador Caribou hunt at Bobby's Camp about 125 miles west of Ungava Bay and the
arctic community of the Kuujjuaq, Quebec. A group of 8 hunters, including myself, Bill
Carrette, Steve Ashton, a couple from Alberta and 3 hunters from the USA flyin
to the remote camp by floatplane. In
Part I guest hosts Heather and Kevin Wilson of Alberta, hunt with a combination of bow,
muzzle loader and rifle to harvest their 3 Caribou on this extraordinary 5 day hunt. In Part II regular guest and our host on the
trip, Steve Ashton of Arctic Adventures, Steve MacInnis, and Quebec hunter
Stephane Corbeil team up for another classic Nunavik adventure. Between stalks and waves of migrating Caribou, we'll take in the tundra scenery and wildlife, and we'll meet some of
the other hunters in camp.
