Bobby Hull Pike Fishing in NW Ontario

Adventures North shot a late season Pike fishing episode recently with hockey legend Bobby Hull and Lund Pro Staffer Craig Stapon on the Winnipeg River, near Keewatin, Ontario.  Chase boat driver Al Fast and guest Pat McCullough also contributed, and Craig shares a few tips and tactics for catching Muskiesin the same watersIt was a real pleasure to share a boat with Bobby Hull and hear a few of his great hockey stories and learn of his love of fishing.

Steve MacInnis and friend Jason Gauthier visit Plummer's Trophy Lodge for a fishing and wildlife adventure.  Great fishing for Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling and even some Pike at the top of the world. Jigs, spoons, crankbaits and plastic Rhys Davis Baitrix herring rigs were all effective.  We also encounter Moose, Musk Ox, Caribou and Peregrine Falcons while touring one of the worlds largest, most scenic and prolific sport fisheries Great Bear Lake, NWT.

Walleyes With the Pros Alex and Darrel Keszler

Bobby Hull Fishing Experience Lake of the Woods, Ontario
This annual 2 day charity fishing tournament on Lake of the Woods, attracts former and current NHL hockey players for some competitive fun and Walleye fishing. Headquarters for the event is Wiley Point Lodge about 20 miles south of Kenora, Ontario.  Participants purchase the chance to share a boat with a hockey legend like Bobby Hull, Ulf Nilson, Thomas Steen, Carey Wilson, Wayne Babych and others. Great fishing, lots of hockey chat and laughs - all for a great cause, with proceeds going to the Amadeus Steen Foundation.

2 Part - Kuururjuaq Park Adventure - Ice Fish, Culture & Polar Bears
On this trip we visit one of Nunavik's new parks the Kuururjuaq ParkIn Part 1 a group of us travel with Inuit guides and Parks personnel from the village of Kangiqsualujjuaq to a base camp inland on the Koroc River.  Ice fishing for Arctic Char - touring through spectacular mountains - Inuit cultural learning experience -
and pristine wilderness. In Part 2 we camp at the edge of the park boundary along the Ungava Bay coast where we go Polar Bear watching on the sea ice, and later visit a traditional Inuit camping areaAnother totally different and extraordinary adventure! Ice Fishing Inuit Style!
